In Friday's league match, the host Berea Bulldogs football team scored a tight 24-21 win over the Travelers Rest Devildogs.

With the win, Berea improves its record to 2-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Blue Ridge (Greer, SC) to play the Fighting Tigers in a AAAA Region 2 battle on Friday, October 31. The Fighting Tigers go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Blue Ridge lost 66-21 in their recent league battle against Daniel (Central, SC)

The Devildogs now have a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Pickens for a AAAA Region 2 battle on Friday, October 31. Travelers Rest will play a Blue Flame team coming off a 48-14 league loss to Seneca (Seneca, SC). The Blue Flame record now stands at 2-7.
