The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Cathedral Phantoms (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), witnessed Cathedral's football team prevail over St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy by a final score of 28-14.

With the win, Cathedral advances its record to 5-4 on the season. The Phantoms travel to St. Francis (La Canada, CA) to encounter the Golden Knights in a Angelus bout on Friday, October 31. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-8. St. Francis lost 42-35 in their recent league bout against Paraclete (Lancaster, CA)

The Warriors now own a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Bishop Alemany for a Angelus bout on Friday, October 31. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 41-7 league loss to St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-8.
