North Carolina High School Football - Draughn crushed by Chase

October 24, 2025: Valdese, NC 28690

The Chase Trojans walloped the host Draughn Wildcats football team by a score of 62-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge, on Friday, October 31. Chase will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 1-8 record after their 62-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

With the defeat, Draughn drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Friday, October 31. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 3-6. East Burke lost 53-24 in their recent league test against East Rutherford (Bostic, NC)
