Maryland High School Football - Smithsburg trounced by Fort Hill

The Smithsburg Leopards football team (Smithsburg, MD), was crushed 56-6 in Friday's league bout with the host Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD)

The Sentinels (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers go into the Class 1A West battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Allegany walloped Northern Garrett (Accident, MD), 18-13, in a league battle.

The Leopards now hold a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boonsboro for a non-league match on Friday, October 31. Smithsburg will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 35-26 non-league win over North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.
