In Friday's non-league game, the Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR) football squad knocked off the host Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR), by a margin of 42-21.

The Blazers now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nettleton for a 5A East outing on Friday, October 31. Valley View will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 21-14 league win over Harding Academy (Searcy, AR). The Raiders record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, Greene County Tech drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Batesville (Batesville, AR) to clash with the Pioneers in a 5A East game on Friday, October 31. The Pioneers enter the game with a record of 3-5. Batesville won 24-21 in their recent league game against Brookland (Brookland, AR)
