North Carolina High School Football - Mount Pleasant thwarted by Monroe

October 24, 2025: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124

Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 39-21 in a league battle.

With the win, Monroe improves its record to 5-3 on the season. The Redhawks host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to meet the Yellow Jackets in a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Thursday, October 30. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 8-1. Forest Hills won 14-12 in their recent league test against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)

With the defeat, Mount Pleasant drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to meet the Colts in a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Friday, October 31. The Colts come into the test with a record of 1-8. West Stanly lost 45-42 in their recent league test against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)
