In Friday's league match, the visiting Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors football squad scored a close 40-38 triumph over the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals.

The Aztec Warriors (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Prospect (Saratoga, CA). The Panthers come into the West Valley match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Prospect was nudged by San Jose (San Jose, CA), 48-9, in a league match.
