California High School Football - Evergreen Valley can't hold off Yerba Buena

The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors got by the visiting Evergreen Valley Cougars football team by a score of 42-36 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Aztec Warriors play the Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA) in a West Valley challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Yerba Buena will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The 76ers go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 44-0 non-league loss to Windsor (Windsor, CA).

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against James Lick (San Jose, CA). The Comets go into the West Valley challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last test, James Lick was nipped by Prospect (Saratoga, CA), 39-8, in a league test.
