The Parkland Matadors edged the visiting Americas Trail Blazers football team by a score of 28-24 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Matadors face the Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, November 1. Parkland will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 56-13 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX).
