North Carolina High School Football - Freedom defeats Ashe County

October 25, 2024: West Jefferson, NC 28694

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), witnessed Freedom's football squad topple Ashe County by a count of 35-14.

The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers enter the Northwestern 3A/4A contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Watauga thwarted Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 49-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Huskies confront the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Friday, November 1. Ashe County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 30-17 league win over Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
