North Carolina High School Football - Freedom overwhelmed by Watauga

November 1, 2024: Boone, NC 28607

In Friday's league game, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) football team triumphed over the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), by a tally of 42-6.

In their next game, the Pioneers battle the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, November 5. Watauga will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 4-4 record after their 40-34 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).

The Patriots (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers enter the Northwestern 3A/4A game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Hibriten was trounced by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 35-21, in a league game.
