North Carolina High School Football - Alexander Central defeated by Watauga
October 18, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681 In Friday's league game, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) football team were victorious over the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a score of 49-21.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A game, on Friday, October 25. Watauga will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 46-38 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
