North Carolina High School Football - Cherokee beat Swain County

The Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) football were winner over the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 27-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Braves now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Murphy for a Smoky Mountain 1A outing on Friday, November 1. Cherokee will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 35-0 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-1.

With the defeat, Swain County drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Maroon devils host Madison (Marshall, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league outing on Friday, November 1. The Patriots come into the outing with a record of 1-5. Madison lost 55-13 in their recent league outing against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)
