In Saturday's league match, the host Mt. Hope Huskies football squad scored a good 24-6 triumph over the Cranston East Thunderbolts.

The Huskies (5-2) will now prepare for their match against North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Cougars come into the Division III match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, North Providence defeated Lincoln (Lincoln, RI), 14-8, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Thunderbolts confront the East Greenwich Avengers (East Greenwich, RI) in a Division III match, on Saturday, November 1. Cranston East will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Avengers go into the battle with a 4-4 record after their 21-7 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI).
