The Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX) football defeated the visiting Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX), 28-19 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets face the Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 15 bout, on Friday, November 3. Edcouch-Elsa will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 2-7 record after their 58-0 league loss to Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX).
