Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), 38-31 in a league test.

With the win, Petal improves its record to 4-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to confront the Warriors in a 7A Region 3 test on Thursday, November 2. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 8-1. Oak Grove won 31-13 in their recent league test against Pearl (Pearl, MS)

With the loss, Northwest Rankin moves to 5-4 on the season. The Cougars host Brandon (Brandon, MS) to confront the Bulldogs in a 7A Region 3 test on Thursday, November 2. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 7-2. Brandon won 41-35 in their recent league test against Meridian (Meridian, MS)
