North Carolina High School Football - South Creek felled by Gates County
October 28, 2022: Gatesville, NC 27938 The South Creek Cougars football team (Robersonville, NC), was knocked off 28-14 in Friday's league challenge with the host Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC)
The Red Barons (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers come into the 1A East Conference 2 challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Washington County was knocked off by Tarboro (Tarboro, NC), 45-0, in a league challenge.
The Cougars now sport a 0-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Columbus for a non-league challenge on Friday, November 4. South Creek will meet a Vikings team coming off a 42-6 league win over East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-3.
