In Friday's league game, the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC), by a score of 68-44.

The Knights (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers come into the 1A East Conference 2 game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Washington County toppled South Creek (Robersonville, NC), 27-6, in a league game.

The Red Barons now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tarboro for a 1A East Conference 2 game on Friday, September 30.
