The Valley Pirates held off the visiting Round Valley Elks volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Saturday's league test.

The Pirates now have a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Johns for a 2A - North test on Saturday, October 28. Valley will confront a Redskins team coming off a 3-0 league win over Greyhills Academy (Tuba City, AZ). The Redskins record now stands at 24-5.

The Elks (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Pinon (Pinon, AZ). The Eagles enter the 2A - North test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Pinon held off Many Farms (Many Farms, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league test.
