October 28, 2024: North Scituate, RI 02857 The Ponaganset Chieftains football squad scored 26 points and limited the visiting Classical Purple to 8 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Monday.
The Chieftains now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pilgrim for a non-league test on Monday, November 4. Ponaganset will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 32-8 non-league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 2-4.
With the defeat, Classical drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Purple host Johnston (Johnston, RI) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Monday, November 4. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 6-0. Johnston won 32-8 in their recent non-league test against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI)
