North Carolina High School Soccer - Thomas Jefferson knocks off East Gaston
October 3, 2022: Mt. Holly, NC 28120 Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 6-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Gryphons confront the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, October 10. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Golden Lions enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 4-2 non-league win over East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
The Warriors now have a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, October 5. East Gaston will confront a Golden Lions team coming off a 5-0 league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 9-2.
