Maryland High School Soccer - Georgetown Day nudges St. Andrew's Episcopal
October 3, 2023: Potomac, MD 20854 Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers (Washington, DC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions (Potomac, MD), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Mighty Hoppers confront the St. James Saints (Hagerstown, MD) in a MAC challenge, on Thursday, October 5. Georgetown Day will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD).
The Lions now possess a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sidwell Friends for a MAC challenge on Wednesday, October 11. St. Andrew's Episcopal will confront a Quakers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Flint Hill (Oakton, VA). The Quakers record now stands at 4-3.
