In Tuesday's league contest, the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) volleyball squad were winner over the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Phoenix face the Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, October 4. Mecklenburg County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Henderson Collegiate (Henderson, NC).
