October 3, 2023: Columbia, SC 29212 The Irmo Yellowjackets volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Ridge View Blazers to 1 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets now have a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to A.C. Flora for a AAAA Region 5 game on Thursday, October 5. Irmo will confront a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Camden (Camden, SC). The Falcons record now stands at 4-5.
The Blazers (8-10) will now prepare for their game against Westwood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks enter the AAAA Region 5 game with a 12-1 record. In their last game, Westwood gained a win over Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC), 3-0, in a league game.
