South Carolina High School Volleyball - King Academy can't hold off Newberry Academy
October 3, 2023: Batesburg, SC 29006 In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Newberry Academy volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the King Academy Knights.
The (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Richard Winn Academy (Winnsboro, SC). The Eagles come into the SCISA A Region I battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Richard Winn Academy nudged Oconee Christian Academy (Seneca, SC), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Knights encounter the Laurens Academy Crusaders (Laurens, SC) in a SCISA A Region II battle, on Thursday, October 5. King Academy will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Crusaders come into the battle with a 22-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC).
