October 3, 2024: Fayetteville, NC 28304 The Seventy-First Falcons football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting Cape Fear Colts to 6 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Falcons now hold a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Jack Britt for a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. Seventy-First will meet a Buccaneers squad coming off a 24-12 non-league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Cape Fear drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Colts host Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-4. Douglas Byrd lost 64-14 in their recent non-league battle against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC)
