October 3, 2024: Albemarle, NC 28001 The West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) soccer overwhelmed the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 7-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Colts now hold a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Piedmont for a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge on Monday, October 7. West Stanly will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, Albemarle moves to 5-6 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to encounter the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Monday, October 7. The Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Union Academy lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Academy (Monroe, NC)
