In Friday's league game, the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) football team were victorious over the visiting Augusta Prep Cavaliers (Augusta, GA), by a score of 24-0.

In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Gatewood Gators (Eatonton, GA) in a GIAA AA/A District 4 outing, on Friday, October 10. Briarwood Academy will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record.
