In Friday's non-league game, the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) football team overcame the visiting St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), by a tally of 48-22.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders (Lyons, GA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Briarwood Academy will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Crusaders enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 38-36 non-league loss to Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA).

The Lions now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Augusta Prep for a non-league bout on Friday, September 12. St. Andrew's will encounter a Cavaliers team coming off a 28-7 non-league loss to Trinity Christian (Dublin, GA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-3.
