In Friday's league game, the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) football team were victorious over the host Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), by a margin of 28-7.

The Cougars now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Clemens for a 6A Region IV District 29 outing on Friday, October 10. Canyon will clash with a Buffaloes squad coming off a 30-13 league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 2-4.

With the defeat, Johnson falls to 1-5 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Clemens (Schertz, TX) to battle the Buffaloes in a 6A Region IV District 29 game on Friday, October 17. The Buffaloes enter the game with a record of 2-4.
