Nevada High School Football - Cheyenne falls to Sunrise Mountain

October 3, 2025: North Las Vegas, NV 89032

The Sunrise Mountain Miners felled the host Cheyenne Desert Shields football squad by a margin of 34-18 in Friday's league test.

The Miners now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eldorado for a 4A Southern - Mountain test on Friday, October 10. Sunrise Mountain will meet a Firehawks squad coming off a 37-0 league loss to Silverado (Las Vegas, NV). The Firehawks record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Cheyenne drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Desert shields host Rancho (Las Vegas, NV) to meet the Rams in a 4A Southern - Mountain test on Friday, October 10. The Rams come into the test with a record of 1-5. Rancho lost 56-6 in their recent league test against Mater Academy East Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)
