The St. John Eagles got by the host Covenant Christian Academy Lions football team by a score of 28-21 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles face the North Iberville Bears (Rosedale, LA) in a 1A District 8 challenge, on Thursday, October 9. St. John will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 46-40 non-league win over Vinton (Vinton, LA).

With the defeat, Covenant Christian Academy drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Berwick (Berwick, LA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, October 10. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-4. Berwick won 41-0 in their recent non-league test against Thrive Academy (Baton Rouge, LA)
