Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA), 42-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Covenant Christian Academy advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA) to play the Hawks in a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Archbishop Hannan lost 36-35 in their recent non-league test against Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA)

With the defeat, Ascension Christian drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The travel to Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA) to meet the Chargers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Westminster Christian Academy lost 49-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Westminster Christian Academy (Opelousas, LA)
