In Friday's league match, the host Ferndale Eagles football squad scored a good 31-6 victory over the Pontiac Phoenix.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Renaissance (Detroit, MI). The Phoenix enter the non-league match with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Renaissance was topped by Mumford (Detroit, MI), 35-28, in a league battle.

The Phoenix now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Royal Oak for a Oakland - Gold battle on Friday, October 10. Pontiac will play a Ravens team coming off a 35-6 league win over Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI). The Ravens record now stands at 3-3.
