The Berkley Bears football team scored 43 points and restricted the host Pontiac Phoenix to 0 in the Bears league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Bears face the Ferndale Eagles (Ferndale, MI) in a Oakland - Gold challenge, on Friday, September 19. Berkley will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 46-14 league win over Royal Oak (Royal Oak, MI).

The Phoenix (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI). The Yellowjackets go into the Oakland - Gold challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Avondale was ripped by Lutheran North (Macomb, MI), 50-7, in a non-league test.
