Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ), 66-0 in a league match.

The Blue Devils (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Mayer (Mayer, AZ). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Mayer was routed by Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ), 40-34, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Apaches confront the St. David Tigers (St. David, AZ) in a 1A South (8 Man) match, on Friday, October 10. Fort Thomas will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 6-1 record after their 51-14 non-league loss to Hayden (Winkelman, AZ).
