Ray Bearcats (Kearny, AZ) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ), 36-34 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Ray advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Bearcats host Cicero Prep Academy (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Centurions in a 1A East (8 Man) match on Friday, September 19. The Centurions come into the match with a record of 2-2. Cicero Prep Academy won 42-16 in their recent non-league match against Valley Lutheran (Phoenix, AZ)

Coming up next, the Blue Devils confront the Baboquivari Warriors (Sells, AZ) in a 1A South (8 Man) match, on Friday, September 19. Valley Union will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 48-6 non-league loss to Superior (Superior, AZ).
