Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Omaha Christian Guardians (Omaha, NE), 56-24 in a league battle.

With the win, Johnson County Central improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Lourdes Central Catholic (Nebraska City, NE) to meet the Knights in a D1 District 1 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 10. The Knights come into the test with a record of 5-1. Lourdes Central Catholic won 55-6 in their recent non-league test against Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE)

With the defeat, Omaha Christian drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Guardians host Johnson-Brock (Johnson, NE) to meet the Eagles in a D1 District 1 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 4-2. Johnson-Brock won 78-21 in their recent league challenge against Freeman (Adams, NE)
