The Monroe Academy Volunteers felled the visiting Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays football team by a score of 43-22 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Volunteers play the Wilcox Academy Wildcats (Camden, AL) in a AISA AA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, October 10. Monroe Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record.

The Stingrays (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sneads (Sneads, FL). The Pirates go into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record.
