In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Monroe Academy Volunteers football team scored a big 38-6 win over the Rocky Bayou Christian Knights.

With the win, Monroe Academy advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Volunteers host Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, AL) to play the Rebels in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Rebels go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Bessemer Academy lost 46-6 in their recent non-league battle against Patrician Academy (Butler, AL)

The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Eagle's View for a Sunshine State - Freelance battle on Friday, September 5.
