New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 57-28 in a league match.

The Trojans (2-5) will now prepare for their match against New Palestine (New Palestine, IN). The Dragons come into the Hoosier Heritage match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, New Palestine defeated Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN), 65-3, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Marauders confront the Shelbyville Golden Bears (Shelbyville, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage battle, on Friday, October 10. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Golden Bears go into the battle with a 3-4 record after their 65-3 league loss to New Palestine (New Palestine, IN).
