West Virginia High School Football - Point Pleasant crushed by Nitro

October 3, 2025: Nitro, WV 25143

The Nitro Wildcats walloped the visiting Point Pleasant Big Blacks football squad by a count of 56-13 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wildcats now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln County for a Cardinal test on Friday, October 10. Nitro will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 46-0 league loss to Wayne (Wayne, WV). The Panthers record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Point Pleasant moves to 0-5 on the season. The Big blacks travel to Warren (Vincent, OH) to face the Warriors in a Twin State challenge on Friday, October 10. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Warren lost 30-27 in their recent non-league challenge against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV)
