The Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) football bounced the visiting Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC), 40-0 in Friday's league contest.

The Jaguars (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Eagles enter the Roanoke River 1A/2A contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Warren County crushed Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy (Halifax, NC), 49-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Chargers battle the KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC) in a Roanoke River 1A/2A bout, on Friday, October 10. Weldon will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Pride go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 38-0 league win over Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC).
