River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Riverwood Raiders (Sandy Springs, GA), 35-0 in a league battle.

With the win, River Ridge advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Knights host Sprayberry (Marietta, GA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a AAAAA Region 6 battle on Friday, October 10. The Yellow Jackets go into the battle with a record of 6-1. Sprayberry won 36-35 in their recent league match against Creekview (Canton, GA)

Coming up next, the Raiders confront the Lassiter Trojans (Marietta, GA) in a AAAAA Region 6 match, on Friday, October 10. Riverwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Trojans come into the match with a 4-3 record after their 32-0 league loss to Sequoyah (Canton, GA).
