In Friday's league challenge, the host Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Mustangs football team scored a nice 63-33 win over the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Paxton Tigers (Paxton, NE) in a D6 District 4 (6 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 10. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 1-4 record after their 44-25 league loss to Wallace (Wallace, NE).

With the defeat, Wauneta-Palisade drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Southwest (Bartley, NE) to meet the Roughriders in a D6 District 4 (6 Man) test on Friday, October 10.
