California High School Football - Truckee can't hold off Elko
October 3, 2025: Truckee, CA 96161 Elko Indians (Elko, NV) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Truckee Wolverines (Truckee, CA), 15-12 in a league battle.
With the win, Elko advances its record to 6-0 on the season. The Indians travel to Sparks (Sparks, NV) to play the Railroaders in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Railroaders go into the battle with a record of 0-7. Sparks lost 36-0 in their recent non-league battle against South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA)
The Wolverines now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lowry for a battle on Friday, October 10. Truckee will play a Buckaroos team coming off a 36-14 league loss to Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Buckaroos record now stands at 3-4.
