The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Holmes County Central Jaguars (Lexington, MS) and the visiting Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS), saw Holmes County Central's football team nip Vicksburg by a final score of 22-16.

With the win, Holmes County Central advances its record to 7-3 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Florence (Florence, MS) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 6. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Florence won 35-8 in their recent league bout against Provine (Jackson, MS)

Coming up next, the Gators battle the Lanier Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a 5A Region 2 contest, on Friday, November 7. Vicksburg will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 9-1 record after their 22-12 league loss to Cleveland Central (Cleveland, MS).
