The Lorena Leopards football squad (Lorena, TX), was nudged 49-47 in Friday's league contest with the visiting China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX)

The Cougars (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Rockets enter the 4A-2 Region III District 12 contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Robinson got by Gatesville (Gatesville, TX), 35-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Leopards battle the La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) in a 4A-2 Region III District 12 contest, on Friday, November 7. Lorena will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 7-2 record after their 28-6 league win over Connally (Waco, TX).
