Texas High School Football - Commerce bounces Rains

In Friday's league game, the Commerce Tigers (Commerce, TX) football team triumphed over the host Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX), by a tally of 71-6.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) in a 3A-1 Region II District 7 game, on Friday, November 7. Commerce will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 5-4 record after their 38-27 league loss to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX).

The Wildcats (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Yellowjackets enter the 3A-1 Region II District 7 game with a 3-6 record. In their last game, Mineola overwhelmed Eustace (Eustace, TX), 51-6, in a league bout.
