The Crosby Cougars (Crosby, TX) football bounced the visiting Porter Spartans (Porter, TX), 49-14 in Friday's league contest.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Wildcats enter the 5A-1 Region III District 11 contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Angleton was trounced by La Porte (La Porte, TX), 47-40, in a league bout.

The Spartans now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kingwood Park for a 5A-1 Region III District 11 bout on Thursday, November 6. Porter will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 34-20 league loss to Friendswood (Friendswood, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.
